About Us

Rock Foundation Preschool & Daycare was established in 2019 and is located inside the New Vision of Life Church building in Elkhart, IN. We provide safe, fun, and friendly care for young children ages 2 to 5. Our curriculum places emphasis on developing young children’s learning habits and skills in reading and mathematics. All activities at the school are built upon the traditional Christian values.

The school was founded by Dr. Yuhui Lu, who received his Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, one of the top universities in the United States. He also received a Ph. D. in Chemistry from Sichuan University, a top university in China. He has extensive college teaching experience in both countries. Dr. Lu is a certified childcare provider in the U.S. Being an educator with international perspectives and multicultural insights, Dr. Lu is committed to young children development with a combination of rigorous, well-structured curricula and free-spirited, creative activities.

During his time teaching in higher education, he noticed that students in this country are falling behind when compared to the rest of the world, with consistently lower reading and math levels. He knew that this problem stemmed from much earlier on than college. That is when he decided to open this school; to start at the very beginning, the foundation.

At Rock Foundation Preschool & Daycare, we will give your child the strongest foundation possible and prepare them for a life of learning.

Our classrooms are organized around dedicated learning centers that include reading, math, spelling, and Bible lessons. Students move through these areas as part of a structured day that is designed to introduce different subjects throughout their time in the classroom. Each part of the day is scheduled with specific activities, allowing students to take part in multiple areas of learning during their school day.#preschoollearning #earlyeducation #classroomstructure See MoreSee Less

Earth Day is a great time to notice the little things around us, the trees, the sky, the grass, and the spaces we play in every day. Learning to take care of these things can start with small actions that make a difference over time.#EarthDay #LittleLearners #careforourworld See MoreSee Less
